Business Systems Analyst - Custody & Asset Servicing

1- Waterfall project execution

2- Expertise in Custody specifically knowledge of custody workflows (Corporate Actions, Trade Management, Trade Settlement, Mutual Funds, ETFs etc).

3- Current State Analysis:
Conduct current state interviews and analysis. 
Review and understand product/process/workflow/application current state documentation.
Document current state workflows with emphasis on data types and sources, data output, upstream and downstream feeds
Design and administer readiness questionnaire/survey.
Identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats
Define and document deficiencies in the current product/process/workflow/application associated with the project.
MoSCoW method to support prioritization

4- Future State Vision:
Define and document the goals and objectives of products or applications to be developed.
Determine the end or future state of the product, process, workflow or application to be developed.
Identify and document potential upstream and downstream project impacts.
Define and document Future Vision Statement and MVP.

5- Project Planning & Analysis:
Proficiency in SDLC Methodology: Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid Agile/Waterfall methods.
Review and understand project charter.
Create working groups that consist of knowledgeable stakeholders that are empowered to make decisions.

6- Project Management
Create and review Project Management artifacts.
Identify, address and/or escalate project roadblocks and impediments.
Support Project Reporting and maintain communication channels with Project Managers.

7- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
Conduct current state interviews and analysis. 
Review and understand product/process/workflow/application current state documentation.
Document current state workflows with emphasis on data types and sources, data output, upstream and downstream feeds
Schedule and conduct interviews with stakeholders and working groups.
Participate in Day in the Life and/or review of operational procedures.
Design and administer readiness questionnaire/survey.

8- Documenting Requirements:
Define and document data mapping, data sources, data outputs
Workflow diagrams with upstream and downstream data feeds.
Document Use Cases highlighting key decisions/risks/timing.
Create UI/UX wireframes and mock-ups.
Write BRDs, Change Requests and/or user stories.
Review and refine BRDs, CRs and/or user stories with stakeholders.
Prepare user stories for upcoming iterations. Update Scrum teams daily.
Create and maintain user story backlog.
Define and document compliance considerations and data strategy impacts.
Collect the required document approvals.

 9- Requirement Support:
Peer review BRDs, CRs and/or user stories.
Provide constructive feedback and recommendations.

10- Design & consultation:
Facilitate collaboration between Systems and Business teams.
Define and document design surveys to determine design options and their associated impacts. 
Propose innovative workflow and technology solutions while maintaining or leading market trends.
Lead working groups towards a complete and transformational end product/application.
Active participant in vendor walkthroughs.

11 - Test Strategy and Support:
Document comprehensive Test Strategy Plan
Document and review test cases scenarios for accuracy and traceability to requirements. 
Update test cases to qTest and link to requirements.
Write UAT scripts and Perform test execution.
Monitor & Control (test execution reports, defect management, daily TSRs).
Document and distribute Acceptance Phase Summary Report.

12- Implementation Support:
Test tools/applications on release date.

13 - Production Support :
Provide support to production users after implementation until support team is up to speed
Help support team in supporting production users on specific use case.
Update backlog with user stories based on production functionality/feedback.
