Job Summary:
We're looking for a highly motivated Network Systems Engineer to join our Network Operations Team on a contract-to-hire basis, requiring 4 days per week on-site in Corte Madera. The ideal candidate should be eager to transition into a full-time role, bringing a consultative mindset and a solid technical foundation in key networking technologies. This role demands exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of network infrastructure, and the ability to work effectively with cross-departmental teams for troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and manage network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and firewalls.
Ensure network security and compliance with IT policies, PCI, and SOX.
Troubleshoot network problems, collaborating with ISPs or vendors as necessary.
Maintain comprehensive network documentation and perform network performance monitoring and tuning.
Support 24x7 network infrastructure, participating in on-call rotation.
Must-Have Skills:
Profound knowledge of PAN Firewall and Cisco Networking.
Proven experience with SDWAN and wireless network management.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for network analysis.
Domain Experience Required:
Must have experience working in a Retail/eCommerce organization or a fast-paced, highly virtualized environment.
This opportunity demands a candidate located in SF or North Bay (Marin County, Novato, San Rafael) due to the on-site requirement in Corte Madera four days a week.
