Summary

Responsibilities

Noblis is looking to hire a Structural Mechanical Engineer to support NAVSEA and NSWCPD customers at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. You will be joining a team primarily supporting submarine communication systems. In this role you will be performing structural analysis for shock & vibration, mechanical component design, and supporting documentation development (including drawings, test procedures, manuals, and other ILS documentation). This position will be based out of the Philadelphia Naval Yard, with the opportunity to work hybrid.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Structural design with experience performing FEA stress analysis
  • Experience performing shock and vibration analysis and testing
  • Developing and executing environmental qualification test procedures
  • Manufacturing and assembly drawing development
  • Testing support

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant engineering discipline & 5 years of relevant engineering experience. Will also consider a Master's degree & 3 years of experience, an Associates degree & 8 years of experience, or High School & 11 years of experience
  • Experience performing shock and vibration analysis and/or testing
  • with an Active Secret Clearance, or must be able to obtain an interim Secret before starting
  • Experienced with ANSYS software is very much desired
  • Up to 10% travel required

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $95,500.00 - USD $149,200.00 /Yr.
