Senior Business Analyst with Oil and Gas experience

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Analyst in Oil and Gas with report-development experience for a 100% remote position, preferably in Texas. This is a year-long contract position that can be renewed for 3 years. Candidates without Oil and Gas experience and report-development experience will be rejected.

Duties include using multiple methods to gather, develop, and document requirements; reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes; creating and validating user acceptance testing; and providing research and special project support to users. This role will work with limited to minimal direction, with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment. 

This position analyzes and documents multiple interrelated report-related projects. The work focuses on data, including analysis, root-cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report development, and posting data to the Open Data Portal or the client's website. Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake, and data publishing. Ensures that deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures, are of consistent quality, and use accepted business analysis methodologies. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment.

The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings, and holidays, as requested.
