Description

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Develop reusable API policies for authentication, authorization, security, traffic management, mediation, and transformation.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, API Keys, JWT, Basic Authentication, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
• Configure policies including Quota, Spike Arrest, VerifyAPIKey, VerifyJWT, AssignMessage, RaiseFault, ServiceCallout, and JavaScript.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate Apigee with backend systems and enterprise applications.
• Implement JSON/XML transformations, request/response validation, message transformation, and data mediation.
• Configure API Products, Developer Portals, Developer Apps, developers, credentials, and API access policies.
• Develop Shared Flows to promote reusable API functionality across multiple API proxies.
• Implement exception handling using Fault Rules, DefaultFaultRules, RaiseFault, and error handling flows.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot authentication, routing, policy, backend, latency, and connectivity issues.
• Use Apigee Analytics to monitor API traffic, errors, latency, performance, and consumer behavior.
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, security teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to define API requirements.
• Develop and maintain API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Implement API versioning, lifecycle management, governance, and enterprise API standards.
• Integrate Apigee with backend services using REST, SOAP, HTTP, and other enterprise integration technologies.
• Develop custom policies and extensions using JavaScript, Java Callouts, Python, or Node.js, where applicable.
• Configure secure communication between Apigee and backend systems using TLS/SSL certificates and keystores/truststores.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines for Apigee deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Google Cloud tools.
• Manage Apigee configuration and source code using Git and Maven.
• Automate deployment across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Perform API testing using Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, or automated testing frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Prepare technical documentation covering API specifications, policies, integrations, deployment procedures, and support processes.
