Executive Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Core Systems & Mainframe Security to lead the vision, modernization, and operational excellence of the enterprise mainframe environment. This executive will oversee mission-critical z/OS platforms, infrastructure security, and regulatory compliance while guiding modernization initiatives and aligning technology strategy with business objectives. The role requires a strong “player-coach” leader capable of influencing stakeholders while maintaining deep technical credibility.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the long-term strategy for core systems, infrastructure modernization, and security
• Lead and develop high-performing mainframe and infrastructure teams, driving operational excellence and innovation
• Oversee enterprise z/OS environments, including performance, capacity planning, resilience, and risk management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational security policies
• Manage vendor partnerships, budgets, and enterprise technology initiatives
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology investments with organizational growth and transformation goals

Executive Qualifications:

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in mainframe systems, infrastructure, and security leadership
• Deep expertise across z/OS, RACF, CICS, MQ, networking (TCP/IP, VTAM), and mainframe operations
• Strong background in modernization initiatives, DevOps integration, and enterprise architecture strategy
• Proven experience leading enterprise technology teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
