At Apple, new ideas have a way of quickly becoming extraordinary products, services and customer experiences. Sound is an essential and compelling facet of the customer experience - Apple has assembled a world-class Acoustics team that enables our customers to experience music with delight, communicate with clarity and appreciate our products without disturbance from noise. In Apple Acoustics we work with obsessive attention to detail, directly contributing to products that ship to millions of people around the world. \\n\\nOur Microphone Engineering team contributes to microphone hardware design, validation, and troubleshooting to minimize distracting audible noises and optimize their sound quality. We are a diverse team of acoustics, mechanics, electronics, physics, and MEMS experts, accomplished listeners, and creative problem solvers. We work daily with multi-functional teams on innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. We are searching for a MEMS Module Engineer to join our team of dedicated and passionate engineers.
Do you have an inventive design approach and enjoy the challenges of MEMS sensors? As. MEMS Module Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing various vendors MEMS developments from a process perspective. This will include trouble-shooting newly discovered issues on mature technologies, and helping to drive root cause determination, as well as helping vendors devise and scrutinize process integration for new technologies. The aim of the new technology work will be to ensure these developments have a scalable path to success in high volume production. As part of this new technology work, you will analyze and model new concepts and work collaboratively with other members of the Microphone Engineering team to develop specifications and criteria for new devices at various stages of the development.\n\nYou'll regularly work with a cross functional team of MEMS and electronics experts, system mechanical design engineers, and technical operations team members, as well as external partners. You will encounter novel problems, and where necessary, develop new simulations and models, devise test structures, experiments, and characterization strategies to advance our understanding of the problems and validate solutions.\n\nYou will regularly communicate your work with a diverse cross-functional team working on acoustics modules, features, and products via regular presentations on status, risk, and mitigation strategies. Your creativity and ability to think dynamically and laterally to convention to quickly solve such technical challenges will be key. At times, this may involve some international travel (10%).
