Job Description

We are seeking a Data Systems Engineering intern to support on-site IT initiatives at our Plymouth, Michigan office. During this internship, your key responsibilities will include:

Support data ingest, storage, and transfer activities
Archival data compression and transfer from NAS (network attached storage)
Assist with the management and upkeep of our business unit's server rooms at the Plymouth facility
Support technical vehicle data management software development
Support IT cost savings initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Systems, Mathematics or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of computer hardware and software and networking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Prior exposure to cloud compute
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month internship period (20 hours per week)
This role will be in Plymouth, MI.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges
