Pay Range: $65 - $70/hour . Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more large-scale R&D-focused NPD projects, ensuring adherence to Quality Systems and Change Control processes.
- Lead projects through all stages of the product development lifecycle — from concept, design, and engineering collaboration through clinical evaluation, operational readiness, and commercialization.
- Work closely with engineers to plan, execute, and deliver complex medical device programs.
- Facilitate core team meetings and drive decision-making across cross-functional R&D teams.
- Translate technical information effectively for management and stakeholders; present program status to leadership with clarity and confidence.
- Ensure timely and successful execution of NPD programs with a focus on innovation, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Create a culture of accountability, urgency, and open communication within R&D project teams.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; New Product Development (NPD) in Medical Device
- Project Management-PMP
- Medical Device Industry Experience is required
- R&D experience/Background is required
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience managing NPD projects in the medical device industry (not remediation or operational programs).
- Proven experience working on the R&D side, directly with engineers and technical teams.
- Demonstrated involvement in end-to-end development, from CRO to patient delivery.
- Strong ability to communicate and present complex information to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
- Medical device industry experience is highly preferred.
- Strong in R&D product development background.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Biomedical, Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- PMP/Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
