POSITION SUMMARY
Provides strategic planning and analyses, and policy development. Develop strategies to support programs and initiatives incorporating understanding of customer needs, industry direction, business impacts and company vision. Work with regulators, utility industry peers and/or internal departments to influence the company and/or regulatory and industry efforts around current and future priorities, funding constraints and future business needs. Influence company and/or regulatory and/or industry priorities considering inputs from customer research, business impacts and our strategies and priorities.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Applies depth and breadth of knowledge of Program Management to the most unique and complex problems. Works autonomously. Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions. Demonstrates program leadership with internal & external stakeholders to support company goals.
  • Undertakes assignments of the highest complexity and impact to the company.
  • Takes Data from multiple departments and turnes it into a narritve story to present to the CPUC and the public
  • Coaches, mentors and trains others in strategy development and implementation of Lean tools and practices.
  • Evaluates and develops new analytic methods and tools, processes, procedures for the department.
  • Solves unique and complex strategic issues and problems.
  • Manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Works with all levels of leadership (up to and including EVP) across functions to influence decisions.
  • Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions.
  • Continually applies and guides others to apply understanding of company goals and strategies.
  • Leads peers and partner organizations to develop and implement new and/ or improved processes, procedures, policies, controls and best practices to improve customer satisfaction, efficiencies, regulatory compliance and reduce costs.
  • Represents the program as a subject matter expert and stakeholder on process improvement teams, regulatory filings, and various stakeholder groups. Supports the GRC witness with testimony development by providing data and request response support.
  • Recognized subject matter expert who may represent the company to external agencies on sensitive or complex issues. Partners with Government Relations or other partner organizations in developing messaging and strategy.
  • Leads development of testimony on complex analysis and policy issues.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Sociology, Policy, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Job-related experience: 8 years
  • Must have experience working with the CPUC
  • Must have regulatory experience in a utility space
  • Must reside on the west coast
  • Must be prepared to show samples of narritive data gathering work from previous roles.
  • Must thrive in a multiple deadline business enviroment with strrict short deadlines at times.
