Summary

We are looking for a Quality Materials Handler III for our client in Portsmouth, VA

Job Title: Quality Materials Handler III

Job Location: Portsmouth, VA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results.
Understanding of distribution processes and ability to identify deviations from procedures.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations experience.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine quality control audits to ensure procedural compliance.
Conduct daily verification of picking activities.
Report daily service issues during morning Tier meetings.
Analyze and report service issue trends.
Provide real-time feedback and error correction to prevent escalation.
Remove damaged products from pickable locations.
Conduct spot-check inspections and audits of production operations.
Participate in the internal audit program.
Assist with document control, record retention, and sample retention areas as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Should Have:

Experience with ERP systems such as SAGE or Great Plains is preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and reporting skills.

Qualification and Education:

High School Degree.
