Job Summary We a re seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong experience building cloud-native, workflow-driven platforms in regulated financial services environments. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting scalable, resilient, and secure backend services that power complex mortgage and lending w orkflows. Key Responsibilities Backe nd & Workflow Development: Design and develop backend services using Java Spring Boot; build workflow orchestration solutions with Camunda 8 (BPMN models, connectors, workers). API & Integration Development: Implement API-first services using OpenAPI standards; build secure APIs with OAuth and role-based access controls; support integrations via REST, messaging, and event-driven architectures. Cloud & Platform Engineering: Deploy services in cloud environments (preferably Azure); contribute to Kubernetes-based deployments (AKS); use Helm charts for containerized applications. Observability & Performance: Implement telemetry, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing; monitor performance with New Relic and ELK Stack; optimize system behavior under load. Secure & Quality Delivery: Apply DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning); follow TDD/BDD/DDD principles; ensure compliance with enterprise security and risk requirements. Agile Collaboration: Work within cross-functional agile teams; contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical estimation; proactively identify risks and dependencies. Required Qualifications Bac helors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 810 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus. Hands-on expertise with Camunda 8 (BPMN, connectors, workers). Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture. Expert-level API development experience (OpenAPI, OAuth, resilience patterns). Solid understanding of REST, messaging, event streaming, and distributed systems. Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure: APIM, Key Vault, managed identities). Familiarity with Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts. Strong grounding in Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Ex perience deploying/managing self-managed Camunda 8 clusters in AKS. Prior experience in mortgage, lending, or regulated financial services environments. Familiarity with distributed tracing and advanced observability practices. Certifications (if any) N one required; cloud or DevOps certifications are a plus.
