zOS System Programmer (HCD/IOCDS)

Introduction:

We are seeking a highly skilled zOS System Programmer with expertise in HCD, IOCDS, and IOCP to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Z15 and Z16 hardware migration, hardware planning, I/O configuration, and production cutover. This role requires working on enterprise-scale hardware implementations and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful system operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on HCD, IODF, IOCDS, and IOGEN (IOCP) configuration and administration.
• Lead IBM Z15 and Z16 hardware migration and upgrade projects, including hardware planning, I/O configuration, and production cutover.
• Manage IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC) administration and hardware configuration.
• Configure and manage CPCs, LPARs, and Parallel Sysplex environments in large enterprise data centers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth hardware installations, processor upgrades, and I/O configuration changes.
• Provide ongoing support for current-generation IBM Z hardware platforms.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Hardware Management, HCD, and Computer Hardware.
• Experience with z/OS and IBM z/OS Systems Programming HCD.
• Proficiency in IOCDS & IOGEN (IOCP) Configuration and Administration.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Z15 & IBM Z16 Hardware Migration and Upgrade.
• Knowledge of IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC) Administration.
• Experience in Parallel Sysplex, CPC & LPAR Configuration and Management.
• Ability to perform Enterprise IBM Z Hardware Planning, I/O Configuration, and Production Cutover.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IBM Z17 hardware platforms.
• Previous exposure to IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC) administration.
• Knowledge of Health Information Management and Migration.
