Job Description
Product Owner

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, software developers, designers, quality assurance, and stakeholders to define, prioritize, and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-organized, up-to-date, and aligned with the overall product vision and business goals.
- Translate high-level business requirements into clear and actionable user stories, ensuring that they contain well-defined acceptance criteria and align with technical capabilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact between product management, technology lead and development team, ensuring that communication flows seamlessly and that stakeholder needs are effectively addressed.
- Regularly engage with product management, stakeholders developers and qa team to gather feedback, capture user insights, and validate that the product is meeting their expectations.
- With some guidance from technology lead, make informed decisions on scope, backlog priorities, and trade-offs while considering factors such as project timelines, technical constraints, dependencies, risks
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint review sessions, PI planning documentation, jira input, jira cleanliness / completeness, & collaboration with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the work to be done.
- Responsible for owning the creation and refinement of stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 2-3 sprints.
- Provide guidance and support to the development team, clarifying requirements, resolving queries, and ensuring a shared understanding of the user stories.
- Continuously monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure that the product is delivering the intended value to customers.
- Actively participate in retrospectives to identify areas for improvement within the development process and take actions to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, leveraging this knowledge to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, anticipating and addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive collaborative working environment.

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience as a Software Product Owner supporting a software development environment.
• Experience using the SAFe framework or having a PO/PM SAFe certification
• Expert with translating high-level business requirements into clear and actionable user stories, ensuring that they contain well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Must have expert ability to document detailed requirements, minutes, action items, manage incoming requests and outgoing communications
• Expert ability to track, manage and resolve dependencies, blockers, issues, risks, clearly document and articulate action item owners and open items in need of attention
• Strong organization and facilitation skills, including the ability to prioritize work and drive out deadlines
• Must work well with internal and external team members, have ability to manage and resolve conflicts collaboratively and with patience
• Strong analytical skills and drive to take initiative, be proactive to collect details needed to address blockers, drive out issues for the team
• Detail-oriented self starter with ability to deliver high-quality software products and exceptional user experiences.
• Advanced experience in JIRA, Confluence, Release Management Tool
• Experience building dashboards and filtering / lookups in jira
• Excellent written oral/ communication and presentation skills
• Hands-on experience with managing large scale agile, technical projects and executive communications
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Experience working in Agile development process, Agile methodologies, and deep understanding of various phases of Software Development Life Cycle

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification(s) related to Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
• Previous experience in cyber security, specifically vulnerability management or application security testing is advantageous
• Experience with Jira, .NET and python development is a strong asset.
• Experience writing detailed technical requirements
