American Computer Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Specialist / FileCloud Administrator with strong expertise in AWS and AWS VDI. In this role, you will be responsible for cloud infrastructure management, monitoring, security and compliance, collaboration and support, and deployment.

Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience working as a FileCloud administrator, handling staff onboarding, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to users.
- Proven experience managing AWS infrastructure for VDI and supporting business applications.
- Experience working with cloud service provider offerings like AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Experience performing troubleshooting within very complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity, application performance, and monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, and distributed systems architecture design and implementation.
- Experience following detailed operational procedures and utilizing advanced system security methods and techniques to protect infrastructure assets.
- Robust proficiency in Windows, Linux, and CLI with experience in VM infrastructure and enterprise systems administration across client or server environments.
- Extensive knowledge of systems infrastructure components, including hardware, software, networking, storage, and application knowledge of Java, .NET, and IT security.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide primary administration for the DIAL AWS GovCloud environment, overseeing essential platforms such as AMANDA, FileCloud, and the DIAL Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to FileCloud infrastructure alerts, events, and performance issues while delivering comprehensive technical support to users.
- Lead outreach and coordination with multiple teams and partners, ensuring clear communication across varying technical backgrounds.
- Take appropriate actions to complete assigned tasks, provide clear status updates, and adhere to strict quality and security standards.
- Document and report system changes, trends, operational procedures, and implications related to cloud environments and infrastructure tools.
- Follow established processes and work collaboratively with internal engineering and support teams during updates and incidents.
- Submit new events and update existing troubleshooting, patching, and upgrade tasks within the tracking system.
- Provide phone and email support to users and participating partners during onboarding, troubleshooting, and system updates.
- Support strategic planning and provide high-level advice to allow for the successful adoption or migration of cloud-based technologies and services.
- Monitor infrastructure components and perform initial assessment, data gathering, and system tuning for alerts.
- Assist with infrastructure metrics, reporting, and deployment automation communications.
- Provide off-hours, nightly, and weekend shift support for patching, upgrades, and critical troubleshooting as required.

Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, and/or relevant professional certifications in combination with work experience as an enterprise systems administrator.
