Job Description:

Client is seeking a seasoned DataBricks Architect-Teradata with deep expertise in migrating legacy Teradata workload to modern cloud-based platforms, specifically the Databricks Lakehouse architecture. This role will lead the end-to-end migration strategy, architecture design, and implementation, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Plano, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
At least 10 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Lead discovery and assessment sessions to evaluate existing Teradata environments.
At least 6 years of hands-on experience in architecting solutions on AWS, Databricks, Spark and Object Store.
Good experience in end-to-end implementation of data warehouse and data marts.
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts of Data Vault, Dimensional modelling, OLAP design.
Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, and Unity Catalog.
Proven track record of migrating workloads from Teradata to Azure Databricks cloud platform
Experience in leading and mentoring teams.
