Summary

Position: Business Analyst
Location: San Francisco, CA - Onsite 3 days/week
Duration: 6+ months

Role Overview
Seeking a Business Analyst to support imaging platforms within Pharma R&D, focusing on radiology and digital pathology workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging Platform & Business Requirements

  • Lead business and functional requirements gathering for image viewing and annotation platforms.
  • Collaborate with R&D scientists, clinical operations teams, imaging SMEs, and CROs to understand workflows including image ingestion, review, labeling, and annotation.
  • Define end-to-end requirements covering image ingestion, data quality, metadata harmonization, visualization, annotation, and downstream analytics.
  • Document current (as-is) and future (to-be) workflows, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, usability, compliance).
  • Partner with Data Scientists and ML Validation teams to capture business and clinical requirements for ML models used in imaging workflows.
  • Ensure ML-related requirements align with Google Cloud Platform, FDA, and internal quality standards (without performing model testing).
  • Manage requirement changes and maintain traceability across the delivery and validation lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Pharma companies or CROs, particularly in imaging or R&D data platforms.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
