Job Role: IBM Mainframe Systems Administrator with IBM Z infrastructure, LPARs, CICS

Our client is looking for an experienced **IBM Mainframe Systems Administrator / z/OS Systems Programmer** with strong experience supporting IBM Z infrastructure, LPARs, CICS environments, and modern application-to-mainframe integration.
Responsibilities
• Administer IBM Z, LPARs, and z/OS environments
• Manage CPU, memory, I/O, storage, system parameters, IPLs, capacity, and system performance
• Support z/OS infrastructure for COBOL, CICS, Db2, batch, and related workloads
• Administer and support CICS regions
• Configure and maintain **CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG)** connectivity
• Support Java-to-CICS integration using CTG/JCA
• Troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity across Java/OpenShift → CTG → CICS → COBOL → Db2/VSAM
• Support authentication, connection pooling, transaction handling, certificates, TLS, ports, DNS, and firewall connectivity
• Support connectivity between **Red Hat OpenShift** applications and IBM Z
• Work with OpenShift, application, network, security, and COBOL/CICS teams to resolve infrastructure and integration issues
• Support highly available gateway and integration configurations
