PeopleSoft Financials Techno-Functional Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Financials Techno-Functional Consultant to support, maintain, and enhance its existing PeopleSoft environment while the organization progresses through a broader ERP transformation. This role requires strong functional knowledge of financial processes combined with hands-on PeopleSoft development experience, with a particular emphasis on General Ledger, production support, configuration, and ongoing enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Support, configure, and enhance PeopleSoft Financials applications, with a strong focus on General Ledger.
• Partner with Finance and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain PeopleSoft technical objects using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, and BI Publisher.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues affecting financial operations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
• Perform PeopleSoft configuration changes, system enhancements, patches, and maintenance.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend system or process improvements.
• Support integrations and data flows between PeopleSoft and other enterprise systems.
• Provide ongoing production support while the internal ERP team focuses on the organization’s Oracle ERP transformation.
• Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and transition activities.
• Provide occasional after-hours support as needed for production issues or financial close activities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials in a techno-functional capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger.
• Experience configuring and supporting PeopleSoft Financials modules in a production environment.
• Hands-on development experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and financial close activities.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and providing root-cause analysis.
• Experience supporting PeopleSoft patches, updates, enhancements, and configuration changes.
• Ability to work directly with Finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote staff-augmentation environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle ERP or supporting organizations transitioning from PeopleSoft to Oracle.
• Experience supporting Oracle EPM Cloud environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation or migration initiatives.
• Experience working within accounting, financial services, or other complex enterprise financial environments.
