CLOUD Security Engineer

Position: Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Peoria, IL (or within 150 miles; must be flexible to travel as needed)
Duration: 12 Months
Engagement Type: Independent Contractors Only

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire working knowledge of business-critical web applications.

• Analyze installation and configuration of Radware SaaS cWAAP, ensuring minimal impact to protected applications.

• Review and analyze daily Radware cWAAP logs, tuning security rules as appropriate.

• Integrate Radware cWAAP logs with SIEM data.

• Collaborate with Network Services and Border Protection teams for onboarding and ongoing support of protected applications.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Radware SaaS cloud-based WAF and API protection (cWAAP).

• Experience analyzing code-based IT security vulnerabilities.

• Strong understanding of Application Lifecycle Management and secure software development practices.

• Solid knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and third-party application risk analysis.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Security, Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.

• Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• 8+ years of overall Information Security experience.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL scripting.

• Experience integrating with Radware APIs and Snowflake Data Platform.

• Knowledge of security frameworks: ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF, NIST 800-82.

• Experience embedding security into SDLC and secure coding practices.

• 1–3 years of experience with AWS and Azure.

• Strong understanding of WAF tools, methodologies, and concepts.
