Summary

Be Part Of A High-Performing Team

Join a global financial services organization with a significant presence across banking and capital markets. This opportunity sits within a Front Office Capital Markets environment supporting a broader technology governance and transformation initiative. The team is modernizing how complex trading and technology programs are delivered, moving from traditional waterfall practices toward scalable Agile ways of working.

This role will be highly visible in that transformation, partnering with technology, business, and Front Office stakeholders to establish new Scrum teams, strengthen delivery discipline, and help introduce SAFe practices across the organization.

What's In Store For You
  • Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
  • Long-term contract engagement supporting a major Capital Markets transformation.
  • Hybrid opportunity based in New York, NY.
  • Opportunity to help shape Agile operating practices rather than simply inherit an established Scrum environment.
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders across Front Office Capital Markets, technology, governance, and transformation functions.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Lead newly established Scrum teams as the organization transitions from waterfall delivery to Agile practices.
  • Serve as both an experienced Scrum Master and project delivery leader during a complex organizational transformation.
  • Introduce and reinforce Scrum ceremonies, Agile principles, team operating practices, and delivery standards.
  • Support implementation and adoption of SAFe practices across multiple teams and initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Front Office Capital Markets stakeholders, technology teams, product leaders, and program leadership.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog discussions, dependency management, and impediment resolution.
  • Coach teams and stakeholders who may be relatively new to Agile ways of working.
  • Bring structure and transparency to delivery while helping teams navigate the shift away from traditional project-management models.
  • Identify delivery risks, dependencies, organizational blockers, and opportunities to continuously improve team effectiveness.

Do you have the expertise to lead Agile transformation within Front Office Capital Markets?
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with senior-level Scrum Master and/or technology project management experience.
  • Direct Front Office Capital Markets experience is required.
  • Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master in complex technology or financial-services environments.
  • Strong project management background with the ability to operate effectively during a waterfall-to-Agile transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience standing up new Scrum teams, not simply supporting mature Agile teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile delivery principles, ceremonies, backlog management, and team coaching.
  • Experience working with SAFe / Scaled Agile Framework practices in enterprise environments.
  • Understanding of Capital Markets technology organizations and the demands of Front Office stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Ability to influence teams and leaders through organizational change without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Experience working in large, highly regulated financial institutions is strongly preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum or SAFe certifications are beneficial where supported by hands-on transformation experience.
