Position: Business Analyst

Location: Everett, WA (Hybrid)

Contract: 3+ Months and Extendable

Candidate must have Transit experience and local to WA.

Position is hybrid - In-office every Tuesday & Wednesday, additional in-office days may be required

Description:

  • As an IT Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in bridging communication between IT professionals, company management, and subject matter experts. In this position, you will translate stakeholder business goals and product roadmaps into tangible deliverables. Through detailed analysis, you will compare user requirements to business system capabilities and perform gap analysis.
  • As a collaborative problem-solver, you will participate in cross-functional efforts to develop strategies for complex business and technical issues.
  • Your duties involve documenting thorough requirements for solution development or implementation, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and improving the overall customer experience.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall Methodologies.
  • Use of epics/user stories and other documentation for technical deployments.
  • Product management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related Microsoft Office applications and features.
  • Understanding of technologies supporting business operations such as finance, HRIS, and business intelligence.

  • Ability to think critically, identify strengths and weaknesses and alternate solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Identifying and anticipating customer requirements through research and testing.
  • Defining functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Communicating complex technical information through verbal, written, and visual communication, including public speaking.
  • Adapting communication style to various audiences.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and effectively communicating changes that may not be aligned with original expectations.
  • Active listening.
  • Working effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines, and adjusting to changing and competing priorities.
  • Identifying opportunities for creative problem solving within the parameters of good business practice.
  • Researching strategic issues, technology, and techniques.
  • Performing analysis and assessment and providing recommendations.
  • Working both independently and as a team member.
