Summary

Position: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Analyst
Duration: 1 year
Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid)
Client: City and County of San Francisco
Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid, depending on the specific assignment. Candidates willing to work onsite in San Francisco when required are preferred.
 
Required Experience: 
Strong enterprise cybersecurity technical experience; senior-level candidates preferred.
 
Job Description:
  • Support Security Operations Center activities, security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, security analysis, and technical remediation.
  • Support endpoint, network, cloud, application, and infrastructure security.
  • Configure, implement, and support cybersecurity tools and security controls.
  • Perform security hardening, investigate alerts, and support incident investigation and resolution.
  • Work with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and related security platforms.
  • Support security automation, integration, and operational improvements.
  • Document security findings, investigations, remediation activities, and technical recommendations.
 
Preferred: 
CISSP, CISM, Security+, CySA+, CEH, cloud security certifications, or comparable credentials.
