HBSS Systems Administrator

Responsibilities
- The HBSS Systems Administrator is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, with a specialization in Trellix Security Platform suite (TSP)
- Have a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, assessment methodologies, industry best practices, and TSP technologies
- Lead assessments, analyze findings, and provide recommendations to improve the alignment of IT with business objectives
- Optimization of performance, mitigation of risks, and ensuring of effective TSP implementation and utilization are key responsibilities
- Conducts in-depth assessments of TSP implementations, evaluating their effectiveness in managing and maintaining the organization s physical infrastructure
- Analyze TSP usage and data to identify opportunities for optimization, including process improvements, automation, and integration with other IT systems
- Evaluate new and emerging TSP technologies, providing recommendations for adoption based on organizational needs and industry trends. Assess TSP compliance with relevant regulations and security standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of position-specific experience, OR a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant HBSS Systems Administrator experience in lieu of a degree.
- High School diploma plus four (4) additional years of experience, or an Associate s degree plus two (2) additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor s degree.
- A relevant Master s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- A relevant PhD may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
- 9+ years of position-specific relevant experience in IT systems assessment, security audits, or a related role.
- Knowledge of various IT domains, including applications, infrastructure, data, and security. Demonstrated experience with Trellix Security Platform suite (TSP)
- Knowledge of the Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS)
- Strong understanding of IT security standards, compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or TSP vendor certifications (e.g., McAfee, DISA ESS courses, CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA PEN+).
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active/current Secret security clearance to start.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
