Position Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer for Information Systems (InfoSys), you will help build the next generation of web applications used by global studios to efficiently create movies and television shows.

InfoSys Software Engineers develop new applications, support and enhance existing systems, and integrate third-party applications to improve client's production workflows.

In this role, you will interact with a wide range of clients, learn new workflows, and develop creative solutions to increase efficiency and productivity across client's global studios.

You will be responsible for the development, integration, and maintenance of business and production operations applications for client.

Key Responsibilities – What You'll Do

  • Develop robust, full-stack, workflow-based applications, collaborating with management and other developers to implement elegant, user-friendly interfaces for new modules and applications.

  • Work across the following technology stack:

    Frontend Development (90%):

    • Vue.js

    • Vuetify

    • AG-Grid

    • Pinia

    • GraphQL

    • JavaScript / TypeScript

    Backend Development (10%):

    • Django / Python

    • Celery

    • RabbitMQ

    • PostgreSQL

  • Work with Claude AI to assist with code development while maintaining ownership and understanding of the code.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, implement enhancements, and maintain existing applications.

  • Implement customer-facing AI solutions where appropriate.

  • Contribute to the architecture of larger applications and develop standalone modules and smaller applications for clients across the organization.

  • Ensure code is developed, deployed, documented, and maintained in accordance with Information Systems guidelines.

  • Assist developers from other departments in working with IS data and frameworks.

  • Write end-to-end integration tests and/or unit tests.

  • Monitor existing systems and recommend strategies to improve system health and reduce technical debt.

  • Conduct code reviews, follow coding best practices, test new concepts and technologies, and recommend improvements to technical direction.

  • Mentor team members in development technologies, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.

  • Full-stack web development experience building workflow-driven applications.

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript.

  • Strong expertise in CSS and HTML.

  • Proficiency in Vue.js or React.

  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Django.

  • Strong SQL and GraphQL skills.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle.

  • Proficiency in Linux and Docker.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-assisted software development.

  • Experience with web and proxy configuration, particularly Nginx.

  • Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ.

  • Experience with testing tools, particularly Playwright.

  • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments.

  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as:

    • IBM Planning Analytics

    • Microsoft Excel

    • Cognos BI

    • Tableau

  • Ability to accommodate occasional domestic and/or international travel.
