Job Description
An SAP S/4 Service Warranty Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing Warranty Management processes within the SAP S/4HANA Service (formerly CS/SM) module. The role involves implementing end‑to‑end warranty workflows, integrating service processes with logistics and finance, and ensuring accurate warranty claims processing for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and support SAP S/4 Service Warranty components, including warranty types, claim processing, and approvals.
Design end‑to‑end warranty scenarios covering service orders, notifications, returns, and settlements.
Integrate warranty processes with Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), and Asset Management.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Lead testing cycles (UT, SIT, UAT) and support go‑live and hypercare.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for warranty-related functionalities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business users to improve service operations and warranty cost tracking.
Skills & Experience
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Service (S/4 Service) or ECC CS/SM.
Hands‑on experience in Warranty Management, Service Orders, Notifications, Returns, and Claims.
Understanding of integration with SD, MM, FI, and logistics processes.
Ability to prepare functional documentation and work with technical teams (ABAP, Fiori).
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
