BizTech Fusion is hiring a Senior Network IV&V Engineer for one of our clients.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network IV&V (Independent Verification & Validation) Engineer to lead network validation and quality assurance efforts for complex network infrastructure projects. This role requires strong expertise in Cisco technologies, network architecture, performance validation, and compliance assessment. The successful candidate will independently evaluate network designs and implementations to ensure they meet established quality, performance, security, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)
- Lead IV&V activities for complex network environments, including design reviews, configuration audits, and performance assessments.
- Develop and execute comprehensive IV&V test plans, procedures, and validation scripts.
- Assess network solutions for integrity, reliability, performance, scalability, and compliance.
Network Assessment & Validation
- Review network designs and implementations to ensure alignment with project requirements, organizational standards, and industry best practices.
- Validate network performance, functionality, and operational readiness.
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and potential issues within proposed and deployed network solutions.
- Verify that corrective actions have been effectively implemented and meet required standards.
Technical Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with network architects, engineers, and cybersecurity teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical recommendations to improve network quality, resilience, and security.
- Support validation activities across routing, switching, security, and other network technologies.
Troubleshooting & Analysis
- Investigate network issues discovered during testing and validation activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide detailed remediation recommendations.
- Validate resolution of identified defects and network performance concerns.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed IV&V reports, findings, test results, and technical documentation.
- Present assessment results and recommendations to technical teams, project stakeholders, and leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive validation records to support project governance and compliance requirements.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in network validation, testing, and quality assurance.
- Provide guidance on IV&V methodologies, standards, and processes.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and evolving compliance requirements.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Support internal and external audit activities by demonstrating thorough IV&V processes and documentation.
- Ensure network implementations meet applicable organizational, regulatory, and security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience leading Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities for network infrastructure projects.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and security.
- Experience conducting network design reviews, configuration audits, and performance validation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Experience developing and executing network test plans and validation procedures.
- Ability to assess network solutions against technical requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Excellent technical documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with network engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity teams.
- Ability to work independently and provide objective technical assessments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale enterprise network environments.
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring, compliance validation, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with audit, governance, and regulatory requirements affecting network infrastructure.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
