Job Title: Telecommunications Designer
Location: Anywhere in the United States (Remote)

Position Overview

Jacobs Engineering is seeking experienced Wireless Telecommunications Designers to support the design and implementation of advanced wireless communication systems across a variety of projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wireless network design, DAS systems, LMR systems, RF modeling, and project coordination while working directly with clients, carriers, AHJs, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing wireless telecommunications systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience using wireless modeling tools such as:
• iBwave
• EDX
• Atoll
• LMR Planner
• Or a combination of equivalent RF design tools.
• iBwave Level 2 Certification (Required).
• Experience working directly with clients to assess and define wireless communication requirements.
• Experience troubleshooting wireless communication systems with field installation and commissioning teams.
• Strong understanding of:
• Noise Floor
• SNIR
• Return Loss
• VSWR
• Experience optimizing wireless networks during both design and deployment phases.
• Familiarity with Navisworks.
• Strong project management, communication, and coordination skills.
• Experience preparing project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
• Experience responding to RFPs.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) License.
