Registered Nurse (RN)

Role Overview
The client requires Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse responsible for delivering patient-centered nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical conditions in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify nursing care needs
Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans as needed
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Follow organizational safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Advocate for patient safety and quality care within a Medical-Surgical unit environment

Required Skills (with Years)
Medical-Surgical or Acute Care Nursing 1 2 years preferred
Patient Assessment and Care Planning experience required
Medication Administration and Clinical Monitoring experience required
Interdisciplinary Care Collaboration experience required
Clinical Documentation and Patient Education experience required

Preferred Certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Arizona or Compact State
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire
