Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive critical grid reliability and resiliency-driven investment programs across high-voltage transmission, substation, and relay assets. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape vital infrastructure upgrades, manage high-impact utility portfolios, and directly influence system risk reduction and regulatory compliance. In this position, you will act as both project and program owner leading complex project teams, defining scopes and budgets, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to rigorous quality standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Lead and manage project teams, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing continuous guidance and support.
Monitor project budgets and expenses to ensure execution within approved financial parameters.
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders and senior management to provide status updates, resolve issues, and align on strategic priorities.
Manage project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Ensure all projects meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal project stakeholders and external partners.
Lead project meetings and facilitate key discussions to drive progress.
Maintain complete project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and KPI reports.
Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and process enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering.
5 to 10 years of experience in project and program management.
Strong engineering background with technical experience in the electric utility industry.
Proven track record in program/project management and investment management within non-IT utility infrastructure.
PMP Certification.
Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Hands-on familiarity with industry software and tools including Asset Suite, Cascade, PSCAD, and Apollo.
Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence tools (such as Power BI).
