We are seeking a skilled Microbiologist II to support the Antimicrobial Resistance Laboratory Network. This role involves performing microbiological and molecular testing on clinical specimens, including bacterial and fungal pathogen identification using advanced laboratory techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
• Culture, isolation, and identification of microorganisms
• PCR, Sequencing, MALDI-TOF, and Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)
• Nucleic acid extraction and molecular testing
• Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) documentation
• CLIA-compliant laboratory operations
• Analysis, interpretation, and validation of laboratory results
• Preparation of laboratory and epidemiological reports
• Inventory management and laboratory maintenance

Required Qualifications:
• BS/BA in Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of high-complexity laboratory testing experience
• Strong knowledge of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, PCR, WGS, and Sequencing
• Experience with CLIA regulations and laboratory quality systems
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
