Location: Onsite- Albany, NY (Relocation will work)
Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description

Seeking Java Architect with minimum 15 years total experience, including 7-8+ years architecture. Drive end-to-end solutions across distributed/hosted environments, design Java microservices, solve high-performance distributed system challenges. Champion enterprise architecture (EA) alignment with business strategy in Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end solutions across distributed systems and hosted environments.
Design, implement, maintain large-scale Java microservices applications.
Solve complex high-performance distributed system problems.
Provide IT platform architecture direction supporting business strategy.
Review processes, establish metrics, champion architectural initiatives.
Align architecture strategy with business goals; define technology policies/standards.
Lead teams in technology planning, ensure conceptual completeness.
Consult on enterprise architecture fit, collaborate with PMs/teams.
Envision big picture, drive high-quality delivery on time.
Present software vision to executives; Agile experience preferred.

Required Skills (Mandatory - Bolded)

15+ years total IT experience; 7-8+ years architecture leading distributed Java systems.
Hands-on 10+ years Java/Spring development; Microservices architecture/system design.
Distributed systems: High-performance, scalability, design patterns (OO/functional).
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, cloud/virtualized systems.
Databases: MySQL, NoSQL, performance scaling.
Enterprise Architecture: Frameworks, EA strategy alignment, metrics/process improvement.
Leadership: Team guidance, roadmap planning, technical policy definition.
Methodologies: Agile, systems lifecycle, infrastructure planning.
