Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with at least 5 years of solid experience in business analysis, preferably within the Payments Line of Business (LOB) or financial services domain. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly skilled in gathering and refining requirements. This is an on-site position based in Jersey City, NJ, with the expectation of working 5 days from the office.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or banking.
- Strong experience in requirement elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Proven ability to reduce ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver clear, actionable requirements.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and visio/flowcharting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or understanding of the Payments Line of Business (e.g., wires, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, ISO 20022, etc.).
- Exposure to enterprise-level financial systems.
- Comfortable working in highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of data flows and system integration is a plus.
