Description
We are looking for a Microsoft 365 Technician to join a growing IT services team supporting a wide range of residential and commercial clients in Norman, Oklahoma. This contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who enjoys solving technical problems onsite, communicating clearly with end users, and working across Microsoft 365, networks, servers, and endpoint systems. The role blends field support and help desk responsibilities, requiring strong troubleshooting skills, sound judgment, and a customer-focused approach in varied client environments.
Responsibilities:
Provide onsite technical support for residential and business customers by diagnosing and resolving issues involving internet connectivity, workstations, servers, and network equipment.
Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including user onboarding, account setup, configuration, and day-to-day issue resolution.
Troubleshoot break/fix incidents across a broad mix of technologies such as Active Directory, computer hardware, Apple devices, Mac systems, Android devices, and deployment tools.
Install, test, and repair cabling and related connectivity components, including work that may require climbing ladders in client locations.
Configure and maintain infrastructure components that may include Cisco, Citrix, and other business-critical platforms used within client environments.
Deliver responsive help desk support by identifying root causes, documenting findings, and restoring service with minimal disruption to end users.
Travel to client sites using a personal vehicle to complete service calls, installations, and technical assessments throughout the surrounding service area.
Assist with client environment standardization and migration-related technical tasks as business needs evolve within managed service operations.
Requirements
5-7 years of hands-on IT experience with a strong foundation in technical support and troubleshooting.
Proven expertise with Microsoft 365 administration and support in a business environment.
Experience supporting servers, networks, workstations, and user accounts across diverse client settings.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, thoughtful, and approachable manner.
Comfortable working in onsite service roles and handling physical tasks such as inspecting wiring and climbing ladders when needed.
Familiarity with technologies such as Active Directory, Cisco, Citrix, Mac computers, Apple devices, Android platforms, computer hardware, configuration management, and deployments.
Ability to work independently, think critically in the field, and adapt quickly to a variety of technical issues.
Must be able to meet pre-employment screening requirements, which may include a credit check and other required screening steps.
