-Maintain alignment with Judiciary IT strategy, business continuity objectives, and evolving operational requirements.
Disaster Recovery Planning
-Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a comprehensive Disaster Recovery & Resiliency Plan covering:
IBM mainframe environments (z/OS)
Linux
Windows/x86 and virtualized environments (VMware, cloud workloads)
Network, storage, and supporting infrastructure
-Ensure DR plans reflect accurate system inventories, recovery procedures, RTO/RPO requirements, dependencies, and data replication methods.
DR Testing & Validation
-Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute multiple DR tests annually (both full-scale and component-level exercises).
-Collaborate with Recovery Point Systems to validate hot site readiness, replication integrity, and environment compatibility.
-Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure test objectives, success criteria, and roles are clearly defined.
-Document test results, identify remediation activities, and track corrective actions to completion.
Cross-Team Collaboration
-Work with development teams to ensure applications incorporate recovery readiness, proper failover procedures, and dependency documentation.
-Partner with infrastructure teams to confirm systems, storage, and network configurations are test-ready and aligned with DR capabilities.
-Communicate clearly with leadership on DR posture, gaps, risks, and progress metrics.
Vendor & Partner Management
-Act as primary liaison with the DR vendor (Recovery Point Systems), ensuring:
Scheduling and logistics for DR tests
Timely communication of infrastructure changes
Coordination on replication, data synchronization, and recovery environment updates
-Review and validate vendor‑delivered DR services and SLAs.
Documentation & Governance
