Scrum Master

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the delivery of a modern enterprise workflow platform being developed using cloud-based technologies. This role will serve as a servant leader for an Agile delivery team, helping drive Agile best practices, facilitating team collaboration, removing impediments, and ensuring successful product delivery.

The Scrum Master will partner closely with Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders to foster an Agile mindset, promote continuous improvement, and support the successful implementation and enhancement of a mission-critical business application.

 

This position requires full-time onsite presence.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Serve as a servant leader to the Agile team by removing impediments and enabling team success.
  • Coach and mentor team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices.
  • Promote self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure effective backlog management, prioritization, and work planning.
  • Monitor team progress and help identify opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness and predictability.
  • Support Agile transformation initiatives and adoption of Agile methodologies across the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages transparency, communication, and continuous learning.
  • Assist in managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading projects, programs, or major business initiatives.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT portfolio management, customer relationship management, or related functions.
  • Active certification in one or more of the following (or equivalent):
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
    • SAFe Certification

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience serving as a Scrum Master within Agile development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Experience coaching teams through Agile adoption and transformation efforts.
  • Ability to guide teams in self-organization, continuous improvement, and Agile best practices.
  • Experience working closely with Product Owners to define, prioritize, and plan work.
  • Knowledge of Agile engineering practices and techniques, including:
    • User Stories
    • Continuous Integration
    • Continuous Testing
    • Automated Testing
    • Pair Programming
    • Agile Games and facilitation techniques
  • Strong communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting cloud-based application development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with enterprise workflow management platforms and business process modernization efforts.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
