This role is remote within the US but preferred locations are: EST/CT Chicago, Florida, RTP, TX.
Job Summary: Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex, high-value Security deals. This role requires a seasoned professional adept at navigating intricate business landscapes, fostering strong relationships with executive stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of critical projects. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an exceptional communicator, and a proven leader capable of orchestrating cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, key clients, and partners. Facilitate executive-level meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions.
Complex Deal Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, multi-faceted deals, including planning, execution, risk management, and closure.
Ensure alignment with Client strategic objectives and financial targets.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to drive deal progression and project success. Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and timelines for strategic initiatives. Monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement proactive solutions.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise updates to executive leadership and all relevant stakeholders on project status, risks, and key decisions.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate critical concerns as needed.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the refinement and optimization of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices within the organization.
Financial Acumen: Understand and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial implications of complex deals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion focused on managing complex deals, strategic initiatives, or client-facing projects in the technology sector.
Executive Presence: Proven ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, build trust, and influence decision-making.
Deal Complexity: Demonstrated experience in managing large, intricate, and often global deals involving multiple stakeholders and custom solutions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of developing and implementing effective solutions.
Technical Aptitude: Understanding of Client technology portfolio and the IT industry is highly desirable.
Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and collaboration tools.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is a plus.
