Help Desk / Jr. Systems Administrator- should have industry background in Mechanical construction STRONGLY preferred .  Other verticals could be construction, industrial, manufacturing

 


Location: Cincinnati, OH (onsite)
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT professional to serve as the sole onsite support resource for our Cincinnati office. This role combines Tier 1 end-user support with Tier 2 system administration tasks. The ideal candidate thrives in a hybrid environment where they can resolve daily user issues while also managing core systems such as Office 365, Azure, networking, and security.

Responsibilities
End-User & Help Desk Support

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for all local IT issues (hardware, software, printers, conferencing, mobile devices).
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve workstation, application, and connectivity problems.
  3. Document recurring issues and solutions for knowledge sharing.

System & Network Administration
4. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
5. Administer Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Azure AD.
6. Support server and network equipment, including monitoring performance and backups.
7. Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices.

Projects & Local Office IT
8. Support Office 365 migrations, integrations, and upgrades.
9. Assist with IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, security rollouts, and office technology improvements.
10. Act as "boots on the ground” to coordinate with remote IT teams/vendors as needed.

Qualifications
Technical Skills

  • 3–7 years of IT support/administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Experience with Azure administration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
  • PowerShell scripting a plus.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently as the sole onsite IT resource.
  • Organized, proactive, and responsive.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Associate or equivalent.
  • Other relevant Microsoft certifications a plus.

5 days per week on-site.
