Strong hands on experience in Java (11/17) , Spring Boot / Spring Cloud , AWS , and Apache Kafka. Candidate must be able to design and build high volume microservices and event driven systems.
Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Java Developers for a long term onsite engagement with JPMorgan Chase in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high volume, mission critical applications using Java, Spring ecosystem, AWS services, and Apache Kafka.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable microservices and backend services using Java and Spring Boot / Spring Cloud
• Build and maintain event driven architectures using Apache Kafka for real time data streaming and messaging
• Develop, deploy, and optimize cloud native applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Write clean, testable, high performance code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross functional teams to deliver features in an Agile environment
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability best practices are followed throughout the SDLC

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of strong hands on experience in Java (Java 11/17 preferred)
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data
• Proven experience building and operating applications on AWS
• Hands on experience with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, schema registry, etc.)
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
