Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Software Developer to develop Oracle applications and software. The main function of this role is to direct site content creation, enhancement, and maintenance. This position provides expertise in the development and modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based software systems.
  • Utilize expertise to design, develop, code, test, and debug software.
  • Work with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives.
  • Provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
  • Plan and schedule new application systems projects with user, systems software, and operations personnel.
  • Perform tasks to ensure the identification and documentation of hazards within software systems.
  • Review and evaluate systems and software for adherence to commercial directives, standards, and guidelines.
  • Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct them.
  • Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards, and is compatible with devices or operating systems.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree is required. A Master of Science or Master of Arts degree is also considered.

Experience: 5 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, or 3 years of experience with an MS/MA degree.

Technical Skills: Experience with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, and Agile methodologies is required.
