Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) pricing experience. This role supports rate development, profitability reviews, risk monitoring, and regulatory filings. You will work with actuarial, underwriting, product, and data teams to turn complex insurance data into clear pricing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze policy, claims, and external data for pricing studies.

  • Develop pricing indications, loss cost models, rate revisions, and rate monitoring reports.

  • Apply exposure and experience rating techniques, and analyze loss development, trends, IBNR allocations, inflation, and catastrophe impacts.

  • Incorporate product changes and rating factors into new or revised rates.

  • Prepare rate filing exhibits, review competitor filings, and support regulatory compliance and quality checks.

  • Partner with data and technology teams to define data requirements for pricing, rating, and filing.

  • Apply predictive modeling techniques such as GLMs, XGBoost, or Lasso where appropriate.

  • Identify opportunities to automate analysis and reporting.

  • Present findings and recommendations to actuaries, product teams, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, with strong P&C pricing experience.

  • Experience with loss cost modeling, rate indications, rate revisions, and rate monitoring.

  • Experience working with large policy and claims datasets and supporting rate filings.

  • Proficiency in Excel and at least one analytical tool such as R, Python, or SAS.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across actuarial, underwriting, product, and data teams.

  • Progress toward an actuarial designation is preferred; ACAS or FCAS is a plus.
