Job Description

Title : Bioinformatics Software Engineer (in Test)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop reusable, scalable bioinformatics tools and component libraries for data processing and verification

• Analyze data to validate technical performance specifications and scientific accuracy

• Troubleshoot discrepancies and document findings with actionable recommendations

• Participate in requirements, architecture, and design review discussions

• Support execution of dry-run and formal verification testing

• Present solutions, analyses, and findings to cross-functional teams

• Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) procedures and best practices
  
  
  

Who You Are (Qualifications)

Education (Degree Flexible Based on Experience)

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, or related field from an accredited institution
  
  
  

Experience Requirements (Based on Education Level)

• BS + 10+ years of relevant experience

• MS/MSc + 8+ years preferred

• PhD + 6+ years of relevant experience

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with industry best practices in bioinformatics, data analysis, or scientific software development
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and scientific stakeholders
