Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data & Configuration Lead to support large-scale ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs. This role will lead SAP configuration, master data management, and data migration activities while working closely with business, functional, and technical teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong SAP BODS expertise and hands-on experience migrating complex SAP objects such as Material Master, BOMs, Routing, Customer, Vendor, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain data. The role will also support testing, cutover, and go-live activities to ensure a successful S/4HANA implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP S/4HANA configuration and master/reference data setup across business processes.
Drive SAP BODS-based data migration activities including extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and data loads.
Manage migration of complex business objects including:
Material Master
Customer Master
Vendor Master
Bill of Materials (MBOM/EBOM)
Routings
Work Centers
Purchase Info Records
Source Lists
Production Versions
Inventory and transactional data
Support data cleansing, data quality assessments, mock loads, SIT, UAT, dress rehearsals, cutover, and go-live.
Design and maintain SAP BODS jobs, workflows, data flows, and ETL processes.
Work closely with MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, WM/EWM, and Manufacturing teams to align configuration and migration requirements.
Support integrations with PLM, MES, and other enterprise systems.
Prepare mapping documents, transformation rules, reconciliation reports, and migration governance artifacts.
Lead issue resolution across functional, technical, and data workstreams.
Mentor team members and coordinate activities across onsite and offshore teams.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of SAP experience with multiple end-to-end implementations.
8+ years of hands-on SAP BODS/Data Services experience.
Strong SAP S/4HANA configuration knowledge across master data and organizational structures.
Extensive experience migrating complex manufacturing and supply chain data, including:
Material Master
Customer & Vendor
MBOMs
Routings
Work Centers
Production Data
Purchasing Data
Experience with ECC to S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, or Hybrid transformations.
Strong understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data models.
Experience with SAP Data Migration Cockpit, BAPI, IDOCs, LSMW, and SAP Information Steward.
Strong SQL, SAP HANA SQL, and data analysis skills.
Hands-on experience with multiple mock loads, reconciliation cycles, integration testing, and production cutover.
Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and audit controls.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLM and MES integrations.
SAP EWM experience.
Manufacturing, Semiconductor, High-Tech, or Industrial industry experience.
SAP Activate methodology knowledge.
Agile/Scrum and Jira experience.
Experience leading global delivery teams.
SAP Data Services certification.
Exposure to Power BI and enterprise reporting tools.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BODS professional with deep expertise in SAP configuration, master data, and data migration. The ideal candidate can successfully lead migrations of complex objects such as Material Master, MBOMs, Routings, Customer, Vendor, and Manufacturing data while driving enterprise-scale S/4HANA transformation programs from design through go-live.
