Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Apache Kafka, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will develop scalable, reliable backend applications and event-driven services while contributing to system design, automated testing, and modern AI-assisted development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Build and support microservices and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.

  • Develop and integrate REST APIs with upstream and downstream applications.

  • Work with PostgreSQL, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

  • Build and support scalable cloud-native applications on AWS.

  • Implement unit, component, integration, and regression testing.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude Code.

  • Contribute to high-level system design, application reliability, and performance optimization.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and Java backend development.

  • Expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices.

  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.

  • Cloud development experience with AWS; Azure or Google Cloud Platform experience may also be considered.

  • Experience with REST API development and integration.

  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge, along with NoSQL database experience.

  • Experience with automated testing, including unit, component, and regression testing.

  • Understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design.
