Job Title: Low Voltage Systems Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Low Voltage Systems Technician to install, program, commission, and service advanced electronic systems. This role supports access control, security, fire alarm/life safety, and building automation systems, working directly with customers and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
The technician will work independently on most tasks, escalating only complex issues, while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, test, troubleshoot, and service low voltage systems including access control, security, fire alarm/life safety, and building automation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Commission new systems, analyze performance, and diagnose system issues
  • Perform system programming and configuration as required
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing training and ongoing support
  • Support multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Engineering teams
  • Assist with start-up, certification testing, documentation, and close-out activities
  • Identify project risks and communicate potential schedule or cost impacts
  • Mentor junior technicians and assist with system testing and tuning
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with low voltage systems (access control, security, fire alarm, and/or building automation)
  • Experience with Genetec, Lenel, and Software House
  • Experience with access control panels (Software House, Honeywell preferred)
  • Strong programming and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude; proficient with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Valid driver's license; frequent local job site travel required (minimal overnight travel)

Experience Level

  • Intermediate (typically 3-5+ years of relevant low voltage or systems experience)

This is a Contract position based out of Medina, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
