Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Lab Computing Engineer with strong Empower and Laboratory Computing/Instrumentation experience to provide onsite laboratory IT support for a leading life sciences client. The ideal candidate will have expertise in laboratory systems, instrument connectivity, validation/compliance, and Windows-based laboratory computing environments. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, customer support, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite IT support for laboratory computing systems and connected instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and instrument connectivity issues.
- Support laboratory validation and compliance activities including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation.
- Gather business and technical requirements from laboratory users.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with laboratory owners, vendors, and field service engineers.
- Implement Windows security policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment, computers, software, and peripherals.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities on laboratory systems.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and change management initiatives.
- Prepare weekly status reports and participate in operational review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Experience supporting laboratory computing environments.
- Strong experience with Empower.
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and instrument integration.
- Experience with validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Strong Windows operating system knowledge.
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
