Summary
The Systems Analyst 3 will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis. The candidate will analyze user requirements and procedures to automate processing or improve existing systems.
The GitHub Administrator will be responsible for governance, security, compliance, and automation of the GitHub Enterprise platform. The role ensures DevSecOps enablement, audit readiness, and standardized CI/CD practices across the enterprise software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Analyze business objectives and identify alternative solutions
• Perform cost/benefit analysis of system changes
• Analyze user requirements and operational procedures
• Write detailed documentation for user needs and system functionality
• Review system capabilities and recommend improvements
• Administer GitHub Enterprise platform (Cloud or Server)
• Implement governance, compliance, and security controls
• Configure RBAC, SAML/SSO, and access control strategies
• Implement branch protection policies
• Develop GitHub Actions workflows using YAML
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms
• Implement DevSecOps practices
• Configure GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
• Perform audit logging and compliance reporting
• Automate administrative tasks using scripting
• Document governance standards and developer guides
• Conduct technical enablement sessions
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• 8 years Required – Experience in Git-based version control administration
• 8 years Required – Hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) organizations
• 8 years Required – Expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies
• 8 years Required – Proficiency in GitHub Actions and YAML-based workflow automation
• 8 years Required – Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• 8 years Required – Experience with audit logging, compliance reporting, and access reviews
• 8 years Required – Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
• 8 years Required – Experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines
• 8 years Required – Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
Preferred Skills
• 4 years Preferred – Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
• 4 years Preferred – Knowledge of policy-as-code implementations
• 4 years Preferred – Ability to document governance standards and developer guides
• 4 years Preferred – Experience leading technical enablement sessions
