RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist.
Responsibilities:
* Digital Accessibility Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert on digital accessibility, partnering with the Digital Accessibility Program Manager to ensure accessibility across all digital services and content
* Research, interpret, and stay current on accessibility standards, best practices, and legislation (e.g., ADA Title II, WCAG 2.1 A/AA)
* Lead and manage accessibility audits of digital assets, report findings, and collaborate with teams to remediate issues
* Advise internal teams, vendors, and content contributors on integrating accessibility into design, development, and content workflows
* Develop, maintain, and promote digital accessibility resources, standards, policies, and governance checkpoints
* As a Digital Accessibility Specialist, you will advocate for accessibility as a critical component of the customer and employee experience and support organization-wide awareness and communication efforts
* Maintain audit documentation, testing plans, digital asset inventories, and reporting artifacts
* Manage multiple projects end-to-end, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards while working collaboratively across IT and business teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience applying accessibility, usability, and user experience principles to manage, edit, and quality-check digital content
* Experience conducting accessibility audits using automated and manual testing tools (e.g., WAVE, ARC Toolkit, Accessibility Insights, WebAIM) and assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, Dragon, ZoomText)
* Strong knowledge of digital accessibility laws and standards, including ADA Title II, WCAG requirements, and Plain Language guidelines
* In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 A and AA standards and how to apply them in real-world digital environments
* Strong project leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skills; Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills; Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
* Ability to research industry practices, analyze complex information, develop solutions, and produce clear, concise reports
* Accessibility training or certifications (e.g., W3C Digital Accessibility Foundations, IAAP WAS/CPWA/ADS) preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
