Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Network Architect (Google Cloud Platform) to design and manage the network architecture of our Google Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting on-premise infrastructure with Google Cloud and ensuring secure, high-performance communication between applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

VPC Architecture & Design

• Design and implement Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) architectures in Google Cloud Platform.

• Segment network environments to isolate workloads and improve security and reliability.

Hybrid Connectivity

• Build and manage connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and Google Cloud using:

  • Cloud Interconnect

  • Cloud VPN

• Ensure seamless data transfer during cloud migration and hybrid operations.

Traffic Management & Load Balancing

• Design scalable traffic routing strategies.

• Implement Google Cloud Platform Load Balancers to distribute traffic efficiently across services and regions.

Network Security

• Implement strong network security architecture.

• Configure and manage:

  • Cloud Armor

  • Firewalls

  • IAM-based security policies

• Work closely with security teams to enforce Zero Trust networking principles.

Cost Optimization

• Monitor network traffic and data transfer patterns.

• Optimize costs related to egress traffic, inter-region data transfers, and network usage.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of traditional networking (routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP).

• Deep expertise in Google Cloud networking services, including:

  • Shared VPC

  • Cloud DNS

  • Service Directory

  • Cloud Interconnect

  • Cloud VPN
