Position Summary



Join an agile development team within a technology organization focused on supporting business objectives related to credit underwriting and financial technology. You will contribute to the planning, design, development, and maintenance of critical software applications by applying established procedures and best practices. This role involves collaborating with onsite teams, supporting multiple projects, and providing technical guidance to less experienced team members.


Key Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with onsite teams to determine needs and customize existing technology solutions to meet requirements.

  • Maintain and enhance existing software systems by identifying and resolving defects.

  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

  • Develop and document technical specifications, test plans, and application reports.

  • Create Story point estimates, review code to ensure consideration of system limits, and mentor junior team members to facilitate growth.

  • Provide on-call support during application releases, including weekend support if needed.

  • Build integrations and interfaces using web services APIs, ensuring seamless communication between systems.

  • Support and contribute to agile project delivery using methodologies such as XP or other Agile frameworks.

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of quality assurance processes, testing, and validation of automated scripts.

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines and supporting international virtual teams.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience on the Salesforce platform, including technical customization and development.

  • Proven expertise in developing and supporting applications on Salesforce including Apex, triggers, batch Apex, Visualforce, and advanced components.

  • Experience with Mule ESB or ETL integrations (minimum of 3-4 integrations), ideally supporting large enterprise implementations involving significant customization.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices for design and development.

  • Ability to provide accurate Story point estimates and design solutions.

  • Experience in supporting production releases and resolving issues outside standard working hours.

  • Extensive knowledge of deployment processes, release management, and Metadata API.

  • Experience building integrations using web services API.

  • Able to review and optimize code, ensuring system governor limits are respected.

  • Effective communicator with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issues.

  • Demonstrated capability to work within Agile and onsite/offshore models.

  • At least one Salesforce certification is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to maintain and improve existing automation scripts.
